Tin, the ‘Energy Metal’
Tin is not only high in demand and hard to come by, but also economically irreplaceable in two of the fastest growing sectors; electronic and renewable. Volvera’s Bygoo tin property has higher grade tin than most tin mines in friendly countries, with excellent drilling results which demonstrate high potential coupled with straightforward processing.
Lithium, for Energy Storage
Lithium-ion batteries are now the norm, and there is a projected 25X growth in battery consumption over the next decade. Stanford Research International has developed the potentially lowest-cost selective adsorption technology to extract lithium from oilfield and geothermal brines and salars. This means a very high lithium selectivity and uptake, longer sorbent life, and does not require acid compared to competing processes.
Tantalum and Cobalt: High Demand, Low Supply
Most current mining operations are in conflict zones which are under scrutiny. Volvera is evaluating assets (mining properties) and technologies (extraction, recycling) to be a sustainable provider of these high-value battery metals.
